TOOL BOX 1

In my first toolbox class we were to come up with an Usp which had a positive impact on the environment. My group and i had narrowed down quite a few ideas. We finally came up with an app that is primarily based on trading clothes.

Through this app, we can send our clothes to the store and get an credit note through the store from it. With this credit note we can buy second hand clothes from the store that has been deposited to it. Hence we would be saving on paper with a cashless transaction as well as promote using clothes to its maximum potential. Not only this but this app targets all age groups and all genders as well, since anyone can trade clothes and hence is very inclusive. To attract traction to the brand the first few campaigns would be given to different famous personalities who support a greener environment. This would bring about awareness to our customer base about the brand purpose and also be an excellent marketing gimmick. Lastly if our clothes do not sell, the app would use the remaining pieces of clothing and design their own new line. Here us an image of what the app represents.

It was definitely very intresting to learn about the different ways fashion can have such a positive impact in the world. There is alot more to sustainability than i earlier imagined. Hearing the new technical or creative ways its being implemented in the industry is very inspiring and makes me curious to know more.

Moreover this was my first teamwork class and coming up with ideas as a group helped us to have a well rounded idea as we kept building and adding to each others inputs. I did not realise how others inputs could uplift an idea so much and that is definitely something I would keep in mind for the future and try and get some feedback and constructive criticism from others as well.
