in toolbox 8, we had to finalise our illustration.
Sitting in class, I wanted to play to my strengths. Having an app as my product I was not to sure how to properly draw it out. Sketching was not my strong suit in any case. I chose to do the entire project digitally, as I had been practising my digital skills for a while and now I wanted to show it off.
I concluded that the entire app would be illustrated using the Adobe Software’s.
I tried to sketch out the phone template through the various tools but that wasint working out which was very frustrating. I spent Atleast 25 minutes of class doing this.
I then went on to find a picture of an iPhone template which I tweaked digitally to make it a shape. I was surprised that I figured out how to do it and gave myself a pat on the back.
I then started adding images that would go into the layout of the app. I used noun project to do this. A site I came across while doing research for this presentation.
I then started adding the matter and the images needed for the app.
Giles came around to my table and told me to incorporate more of the research trip.
I suddenly got struck by the idea that I would use all the pictures in my app from the pictures I got from Shoreditch and south Kensington. I used all the outfit pictures from Shoreditch and V &A museum for the outfits displayed on the app. Even the back ground image of the app was from The research trips.
I was very conflicted about the colour palate to use as her colour aesthetic dint match mine. She liked very vibrant colours bold colours. Mine was more Pastel and minimal. I think that would reflect on my presentation as I tried to find a middle ground.
I went back home having finished majority of my work I was pretty satisfied as I had a clear idea from the class before of what I wanted to do. I dint have too many obstacles yet for my illustration.
